3/4 cup Flora Freedom melted
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
1 cup Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla essence
3 cups Plain Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 cup Chocolate chips Dairy Free
1/2 tsp Salt

Dairy Free Chocolate Chip Biscuits

We recently had a couple of friends over for an outdoor dinner party under the fireworks of our local feast. I was aware that one of our friends’ little ones is intolerant to dairy, so I obviously didn’t include dairy in most dishes, including dessert. I made a special batch of cookies using a non-dairy butter that I found, Flora Freedom, and you barely taste any difference at all. I also made sure that the chocolate chips were dairy-free.

Every biscuit recipe begins with preheating the oven to 180°C and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper and/or some oil. I then mix all the dry ingredients (except for the sugars) together in a large bowl, and eventually start adding the melted Flora Freedom Dairy Free Spread and sugars.


If you have a mixer, turn it on low and add the eggs, one at a time, until completely mixed. I then add the vanilla and stir in the chocolate chips.


Turn into small cookies and place on the baking sheets. They only need around 8 minutes to be done.
