Italian Beach Baguette with Basil Mayo, Prosciutto crudo & Mozzarella

Baguettes on the beach – sounds very Italian, right?! Baguettes are perfect snacks for a sandy outing. All you need is to equip yourself with seasonal, fresh produce, fresh bread from your local bakery in Malta, et voilà!

To make the Basil Mayo, mix together 3 tbsp of Hellmann’s Lighter than Light Mayonnaise together with about 1 tbsp of chopped fresh basil. Then, cut the baguette in half and empty its interior to make room for the ingredients. Spread each side of the baguette with the basil mayo, creating a thick layer.

Then, on one side, lay the parma ham and shredded mozzarella & season with salt & pepper. On the other, lay the mixed green leaves, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. Slice in individual portions, wrap in strong foil & enjoy with a very cold drink.
