There is hardly anything more exciting than Christmas in our household. Lots of new recipes to try and ideas to borrow from social media! One of these was a Christmas wreath made from puff pastry and delicious cranberry sauce. It looked very intimidating at first, but it really isn’t. I’ll try to write it in the most simple way possible for you. Enjoy! It’s as fun making as it is eating this beauty.

Steps

1
Done

Begin by rolling out a round ready-made puff pastry. Place a bowl in the centre without pressing too hard, just to create a light ring. Using a knife, I then cut out sideways to create a pie chart pattern.

2
Done

I then grab a jar of Colman’s Cranberry Sauce and with a teaspoon, I cover the circumference of the pastry. Once done, I place the slices of brie.

3
Done

I then grab to tip of each triangle and overlap to the edges of the pastry. One by one, you start create a beautiful wreath. Once done, brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds as desired. If, like me, you’re making this ahead of time, you may breeze as is (raw) for up to 2 weeks.

The Cook

I will be sharing with you my daily experiences with food, whether that’s shopping for the right ingredients, understanding products and sharing with you simple culinary skills that I have learnt along the way. My mission is to make food preparation more enjoyable and rewarding.
