If you’ve had a little too much rich, wintery food then I suggest you make this soup. It’s filling and delicious, not to mention super easy. My mum masters this recipe and I’m glad she has passed on a few tips to me.

Sauté the onions and bacon together. Add the spilt peas, ideally soaked beforehand in water overnight or at least for a few hours. Place the Knorr Chicken Stock Pot in the pot, add about 500ml of water and some bay leaves. Season with freshly ground black pepper and let them simmer for about 45 minutes until the soup has wilted to a creamy texture. Serve with warm, crusty bread. |
