500gr Beef Steak cubed
2 Onions
4 Potatoes medium
1 cup Peas
1 bottle Tomatoe sauce passata
Knorr Gravy Pot
Puff Pastry
Chilli flakes

Slow Cooked Beef & Broccoli Casserole Pie

If there is anything better than a casserole, it has to be casserole pie! The crust balances the soft texture of the stew & provides a more filling meal with better presentation. The quality of the meat is important here, so ask your butcher for superior cuts.



I begin by chopping the onions, potatoes & broccoli and add to pan. Add also the peas, the canned tomatoes & season with salt & pepper. Add about 1 ltr of water. Slow cook over low heat for about 2 hours.


In a frying pan, sauté the cubed beef steak in heated olive oil & a little melted butter. Add the browned meat to the stew, together with the Knorr Gravy Pot, and simmer for another 45 minutes.


Pour the mixture onto a baking dish, lay the pastry and brush with egg wash. Bake for about 35 minutes until the crust is golden brown. So yummy!
